Instructions Following Denture or Partial Delivery
Getting Used to Your Dentures
Multiple adjustments may be necessary over time to enhance the fit and comfort of your dentures or partials.
Practicing reading aloud daily can help you adapt more quickly to new dentures.
Take out your dentures for a minimum of six hours each day, ideally overnight, to allow your gums to rest.
After removing dentures, gently brush the roof of your mouth, tongue, and gums to remove any trapped food particles and prevent sore spots or inflammation.
Expect some initial discomfort with new dentures or partials, which should subside after a few days.
