Digital Dentures in Wayne, NJ

“Digital advances have changed the way dentures are being made,” says Dr. Bruce Fine of Fine Dental Care in Wayne. He’s referring to “AvaDent Digital Dentures”, a breakthrough, digital, CAD/CAM technology that, in comparison, makes other denture manufacturing processes obsolete. “This is a high tech, computer designed, digitally manufactured denture, which gives a computer-precise fit that’s not been possible before.”

Digital Advancements in Dentistry

The 2 visit process is as follows: the dentist takes all clinical (patient) records that are necessary to create new “AvaDent Dentures” at the patient’s first “record taking appointment.” Once those clinical records are received at the AvaDent Digital Facility (in Scottsdale, Arizona), the high-tech process begins by scanning the records to create digital files. Files are then merged. A virtual digital denture is produced and expert technicians design the AvaDent to the dentist’s specifications. Once designed, the digital file is sent to the computer milling station where the denture is milled from a highly compressed, super strong, bio-hygienic base material. These dentures offer exceptional function and aesthetics. The new denture is then shipped back to the dentist where the patient receives a final fitting in as little as two appointments.

This process also protects patients by saving, on file, a permanent digital record in case the dentures ever become lost or damaged. An exact duplicate of the dentures can be created using the digital records on file and sent right to the patient’s dentist. “The digital breakthroughs in dentistry, these days continue to amaze all of us in the profession,” says Dr. Fine.
